Galvanised-steel bus plug enclosure rated NEMA 3R with 16 ga walls and 3.88 in usable depth
The Wiegmann RSC060804G is a NEMA 3R rated enclosure built from 16 gauge galvanized steel. It measures 8 inches high by 6 inches wide with a 4 inch overall depth and a 3.88 inch usable opening depth. A solid cover secures with clamps and screws and includes a padlockable handle for access control. The unit carries CSA, cULus and UL Listed certifications for code compliance.
This enclosure replaces junction boxes that lack a NEMA 3R rating or show corrosion on the original finish. The galvanized coating resists outdoor weathering better than painted mild steel. The jump is worth it when an inspector requires a listed enclosure with a padlockable cover for service entrance or branch circuit protection.
Installers mounting bus plugs or circuit breakers on exterior walls or in damp locations will find the clamps and padlock hasp simplify lockout procedures. Builders who need a hinged door, a window kit or a larger wire bending space should look at a different series. The fixed depth and solid cover also limit use where frequent internal access or deeper devices are required.

The enclosure measures 8 in high by 6 in wide with a 3.88 in usable opening depth and includes screws for wall mounting.
Align the solid cover, engage the clamps, then drive the included screws; the step often missed is tightening the screws after the clamps are latched.
Inspect the 16 ga galvanized steel and padlockable handle annually for corrosion or mechanical wear; replace if the finish is compromised or the handle no longer locks securely.
