Galvanised steel enclosure with screw-on solid cover, 10 in height, 8 in width, 6 in depth, includes self-tapping screws, CSA and cULus certified
The Wiegmann SC-G enclosure is a wall-mountable steel cabinet rated NEMA 1 for indoor line protection. It suits installers and maintenance teams who need a certified, screw-cover housing for bus plugs or similar electrical components. The 16 ga galvanised construction meets CSA, cULus and UL listed standards for safety compliance.
The solid steel cover and galvanised finish provide passive heat dissipation for the installed devices without active cooling. No fans or ventilation openings are present, so operation is completely silent and adds no electrical load. The enclosure itself draws no power and imposes no thermal constraint beyond the ambient environment.
Embossed mounting holes allow direct wall attachment using the included self-tapping screws. A plated-steel screw-on cover secures the solid door and maintains the NEMA 1 seal during routine access. The usable opening depth of 5.88 in determines the maximum component profile that can be accommodated inside the 10 in by 8 in by 6 in cabinet.

Use the embossed mounting holes to secure the enclosure to the wall, then fasten the included self-tapping screws into the cover; the step often missed is using the self-tapping screws for the cover rather than standard bolts.
The plated steel cover screws may corrode or strip after repeated removal and should be replaced with equivalent plated self-tapping screws to maintain the NEMA 1 seal.
The usable opening depth of 5.88 inches limits the size of internal components that can be installed, which is the first constraint encountered when populating the enclosure.
