Galvanized steel wall-mount enclosure with screw cover and self-tapping screws included
The Wiegmann SC-G enclosure is a galvanised steel box rated NEMA 1 for indoor use. It measures 18 inches high, 18 inches wide and 6 inches deep, giving a usable opening depth of 5.88 inches. The 16-gauge construction includes embossed mounting holes and a screw-on solid cover secured with plated steel self-tapping screws. It carries CSA, cULus and UL listings.
Use this enclosure when an exposed junction box or a non-listed cabinet no longer meets code or site safety requirements. The jump is worth it when you need a certified, wall-mountable housing that ships with the necessary mounting hardware and a durable galvanised finish. It suits new installations and retrofit projects where a listed enclosure is now specified.
Confirm the mounting surface can accept the embossed hole pattern and the weight of the assembled unit. Check that your conduit or cable entries align with the solid walls, as no knockouts are pre-punched. Ensure the 5.88-inch usable depth accommodates your internal components and wiring bend radii before ordering.

The embossed mounting holes accept standard lag bolts or anchors for 16 ga galvanized steel; use the included self-tapping screws only for the cover, not for wall attachment.
Drive the supplied self-tapping screws straight into the cover holes at low torque; the common error is using a high-speed impact driver which strips the threads in 16 ga steel.
Replace the plated steel screws if the heads round off, the threads no longer grip the 16 ga enclosure, or the galvanized finish shows white corrosion after repeated removal.
