Questions about this item

How much usable depth does the 6.0 in high enclosure give me for components?

The usable opening depth is 3.88 in, so internal parts must fit within that space once the cover is secured.

What do the CSA and cULus listings actually limit in this carbon steel box?

They certify the enclosure for NEMA 1 indoor use only; it is not rated for wet, dusty or hazardous locations.

Will the embossed mounting holes and self-tapping screws let me attach this 4.0 in wide box directly to drywall studs?

Yes, the embossed holes accept the included self-tapping screws for direct wall mounting on wood or metal studs.
