Galvanised Steel Enclosure 12x12x4

This Wiegmann enclosure is a NEMA 1 rated galvanised steel box designed to house electrical components in indoor environments. It measures 12 inches high by 12 inches wide with a 4 inch depth and includes self-tapping screws for cover attachment.

Suited for indoor component housing

The enclosure suits installers needing a wall-mounted junction or pull box with a solid cover and plated steel screws. It is not intended for outdoor exposure, wet locations or applications requiring a NEMA 3R or higher environmental rating.

Screw cover with embossed mounting holes

Installation uses the embossed mounting holes for wall fixing and the supplied self-tapping screws to secure the solid cover. The usable opening depth is 3.88 inches so verify internal component clearance before fitting. The 16 gauge steel construction requires standard hand tools for mounting.

Questions about this item

What size mounting screws do the embossed holes on this 12x12x4 enclosure accept?

The embossed mounting holes are designed for wall mounting; the package includes self-tapping screws for securing the cover, but mounting hardware for the back panel is not supplied.

Can I reuse the self-tapping screws from an older SC-series box when swapping to this 121204 model?

Yes, the 16 ga galvanized steel body uses the same screw-on cover design, so existing SC-series self-tapping screws will thread correctly.

How do I verify the 3.88 in usable depth is clear for my components after installing the solid cover?

Measure from the inner back wall to the inside face of the closed cover; the distance should read 3.88 in, confirming the rated usable opening depth.
