Wiegmann SC121504G NEMA 1 Enclosure

The Wiegmann SC121504G is a NEMA 1 rated enclosure fabricated from 16 gauge galvanized steel with a silver finish. It provides wall-mountable line protection for indoor electrical installations. The unit measures 15 inches high, 12 inches wide and 4 inches deep with a usable opening depth of 3.88 inches.

Indoor Electrical Installations Only

This enclosure suits electricians and installers mounting circuit breakers or bus plugs inside dry, non-hazardous indoor locations. The screw-on solid cover with plated steel screws secures the interior components. Buyers needing protection against water, dust, oil or corrosive atmospheres should look at higher NEMA rated enclosures.

NEMA 1 Rating and Galvanized Steel Construction

The single specification that decides fit is the NEMA 1 rating combined with galvanized steel material. This combination certifies the box for indoor use only, meeting CSA, cULus and UL listed standards. Embossed mounting holes and included self-tapping screws support direct wall mounting.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware must I already have to install the SC121504G enclosure?

The enclosure includes self-tapping screws for the cover and has embossed mounting holes for wall mounting; you will need suitable wall anchors or bolts that match the hole pattern.

Can I run existing 16 ga conduit or fittings into the 12 in by 15 in galvanised steel box?

Yes, the 16 ga galvanised steel body accepts standard knockouts or drilled entries, so your current conduit and fittings can be adapted to the 12 in width and 15 in height.

How do I confirm the SC121504G meets the required safety standards after installation?

Look for the CSA Certified and cULus UL Listed markings on the enclosure body; these labels verify compliance once the cover is secured with the plated steel screws.
