Purpose-built wall enclosure

The Wiegmann SC182406NK is a carbon-steel enclosure rated NEMA 1 for indoor wall mounting. It suits installers who need a 24 in high by 18 in wide by 6 in deep cabinet to house circuit breakers or line-protection gear. The 16 ga construction and ANSI 61 powder coat give a durable grey finish for commercial or light-industrial settings.

NEMA 1 limits indoor use only

The NEMA 1 rating protects against falling dirt but not against water, oil or corrosive agents. Usable opening depth is 5.88 in, so internal components must fit within that clearance. The solid cover and screw closure meet CSA, cULus and UL Listed standards, but the enclosure is not rated for outdoor or wash-down environments.

Straightforward screw mounting

Embossed mounting holes and included self-tapping screws let you fasten the box directly to a wall without extra brackets. The captive plated-steel screws on the cover stay with the enclosure so they cannot be lost during maintenance. The only common issue is ensuring the mounting surface is flat enough to keep the door aligned and the gasket sealed.
