Sloped-top carbon-steel enclosure rated NEMA 12/13 with captive cover screws, 14-gauge construction, ANSI 61 gray powder finish and neoprene gasket for pedestal mounting
The Wiegmann WC12C20 is a carbon-steel sloped-top enclosure rated NEMA 12 and 13 for indoor protection against dust, dirt and non-corrosive liquids. It measures 12 inches high, 20 inches wide and 9 inches deep with a 14-gauge wall thickness. The gray ANSI 61 polyester powder finish resists corrosion in industrial environments.
Captivated cover screws remain attached to the hinged cover so they cannot be lost during maintenance or inspection. A neoprene gasket seals the enclosure against oil, coolant and water ingress to maintain the NEMA 12 and 13 rating. The design includes no knockouts, allowing custom conduit entry locations. Pedestal mounting suits console or machine-frame installation.
The sloped front provides a usable opening depth of 3.5 inches, which limits the size of operators, displays or terminal blocks that can be mounted behind the cover. NEMA 12 and 13 ratings do not protect against outdoor weather, UV exposure or corrosive atmospheres. The enclosure meets UL and CSA standards but is not rated for hazardous-location use.

Inspect the neoprene gasket annually for cracks or compression set; replace it if sealing performance degrades to maintain the NEMA 12 and 13 rating.
The usable opening depth is 3.5 in., so any mounted device must fit within that dimension to allow the captivated cover screws to close properly.
The powder coat adds minimal thermal resistance; the enclosure relies on natural convection through its 12 in. by 20 in. surface area for passive cooling.
