Headset for office and calls

The WIILGN 109U is a binaural headset designed for call centres, webinars and daily communication. It connects through a USB plug and a 3.5mm jack to PCs, laptops, tablets and phones. The 30mm dynamic drivers deliver a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz with THD below .1.

Limits of the USB and 3.5mm connections

Audio and microphone signals travel over the wired 3.5mm or USB interfaces, so cable length restricts movement to between 5.1 and 7.9 feet. The headset draws power from the USB port and has no battery, so it cannot operate wirelessly or without a live host device. Active noise cancellation works only while the unit is powered.

Simple plug-and-play fitting

Inline controls on the cord provide volume adjustment and mute switches for microphone and speaker. The 270° rotating boom lets you position the mic precisely, and the adjustable padded headband fits various head sizes. Weighing .13KG, the manufacturer suggests removing the headset every 2-3 hours to let ears relax.

Questions about this item

Should I use the USB or 3.5mm connection for my laptop?

Use USB for the inline mute and volume controls; use the 3.5mm jack when only a headphone socket is available.

What does the 115 dB/mW sensitivity mean for call volume?

It produces loud, clear voice audio from the USB or 3.5mm source without needing high gain.

How does the USB interface affect microphone noise cancellation?

The USB connection powers the active noise-cancelling circuit that reduces background sound during calls.
