Cellular trail camera for remote monitoring

The Wildgame Innovations Terra Cell captures 20 MP images and transmits them over the AT&T network. Hunters and land managers can review activity on distant acreage without visiting the site and disturbing game patterns. The HuntSmart app organises photos by species and geolocation after a quick QR-code setup. Motion-triggered stills arrive on a phone or computer in 16:9 format.

AT&T cellular link limits off-grid placement

The camera requires an active AT&T signal to upload images; areas without coverage will store photos locally until a connection returns. Twelve-volt battery power and an IP54 rating support extended outdoor deployment, but the unit has no Wi-Fi fallback for data transfer. Trigger speed is 0.7 seconds with an 80-foot detection and flash range using twenty-one 850 nm LEDs. Video is recorded in MPEG-4.

20 MP sensor sets the detail ceiling

Maximum image resolution is 20 MP, while effective still resolution is 16 MP, defining the finest detail available for species identification. Buyers needing higher-resolution stills or 4K video should consider other models. The camera weighs 1.05 pounds and measures 1 x 1 x 1 inches. Batteries are not included.

Questions about this item

Which resolution setting should I pick — 16 MP or 20 MP?

The camera captures 16 MP effective stills and can produce 20 MP maximum webcam images; choose 16 MP for standard trail photos and 20 MP when you need the highest detail for remote viewing.

What does the .7-second trigger speed mean in the field?

A .7-second trigger speed lets the camera wake and record almost instantly, so fast-moving game at up to 80 ft is captured before it leaves the detection zone.

How does the AT&T cellular connection limit where the camera works?

The unit relies on AT&T cellular coverage, so it will only upload images where that network reaches; no Wi-Fi or other carrier fallback is available.
