Williams Sound Headband Microphone

This unidirectional headband microphone is built for educators and presenters who need hands-free voice capture in noisy rooms. It connects to Williams Sound PFM T36, PPA T27 and PPA T36 transmitters through a 3.5 mm mono plug for reliable wireless audio.

1.48 oz Wearable Design With 39 Inch Cord

The lightweight headband weighs 1.48 oz and includes a 39-inch cable for freedom of movement during lectures or performances. A replaceable WND 009 windscreen helps maintain consistent sound quality over time.

Upgrade From Handheld Or Lapel Mics

Presenters who struggle with handling noise or clothing rustle gain clearer speech pickup with the adjustable boom positioned near the mouth. The cardioid pattern rejects off-axis sound, but users needing stereo capture or studio-grade fidelity should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5 mm mono plug on this headband mic work with the audio input on my older PFM T36 transmitter?

Yes, the 3.5 mm mono plug is designed for direct connection to the PFM T36, PPA T27 and PPA T36 transmitters.

How can I confirm the unidirectional element is picking up my voice and rejecting room noise after I put it on?

Speak while facing the boom; the cardioid pattern captures sound from the front and reduces pickup from the sides and rear.

Does the package include a spare windscreen or must I order the WND 009 separately?

A replaceable WND 009 windscreen is available as an accessory; the box contains the headband microphone with its 39-inch cord.
