Wilson 305-38 Magnet Mount CB Antenna Kit

The Wilson 305-38 is a 36-inch CB antenna kit designed for automotive use. It features a magnetic mount for quick attachment to a vehicle roof or body panel. The antenna operates with a 30 MHz bandwidth and handles up to 300 W of power. A 4-inch diameter base supports the whip for stable mounting.

Suits drivers needing a removable CB antenna

This kit suits drivers who want a temporary or transferable CB setup on a metal roof. The magnetic base allows fast removal when entering garages or car washes. It is not for vehicles without a flat steel surface for the magnet to grip. Buyers needing a permanent through-hole installation should look at a different mount style.

30 MHz bandwidth and 300 W power rating define

The antenna covers a 30 MHz bandwidth centred on the CB band. It is rated for 300 W maximum power input. Exceeding this rating risks damage to the antenna or radio. Confirm your CB radio output stays within this limit before transmitting.

Questions about this item

Which length should I pick for this antenna?

The kit comes in a single 36 in. overall length with a 4 in. base diameter, so there is no alternative size to choose.

What does the 30 MHz bandwidth mean for daily CB use?

The 30 MHz bandwidth spans the entire CB allocation, so every channel is received without gaps.

How does the magnet mount limit where I can install it?

The magnetic base requires a flat steel surface such as a roof or bonnet; it will not hold on aluminium, fibreglass or plastic panels.
