Wilton 12 in F-Clamp for heavy clamping

This 12 in F-clamp delivers 1200 lb of clamping force for demanding joinery and fabrication. The extruded steel bar resists flex during high-pressure glue-ups or welding setups. A 4 3/4 in throat depth reaches past workpiece edges for centred pressure. Swivel jaw pads adapt to angled or uneven surfaces without marring.

Sustained pressure with extruded steel bar

The 7/8 in wide, 7/16 in thick bar maintains alignment under continuous 1200 lb load without bowing. Steel handle and screw transmit torque directly into clamping force rather than frame deflection. Swivel pads keep full contact as parts shift during cure or cool-down. Designed for automotive, metalworking and woodworking tasks that hold for hours.

Upgrades light-duty clamps for structural work

Replaces smaller C-clamps or spring clamps when joint strength depends on consistent high pressure. The 12 in capacity spans wide assemblies that shorter clamps cannot reach. Steel construction outlasts aluminium or composite frames in shop environments. Not suited for tight corners needing a low-profile head or for one-handed rapid adjustment.

Questions about this item

Does the 1200 lb clamping force generate vibration or heat during extended use?

The clamp applies mechanical pressure only, so it produces no vibration or heat while holding a workpiece.

What bar thickness and width must my workpiece accommodate for the 7/16 in thick, 7/8 in wide steel bar?

The extruded steel bar measures 7/16 in thick by 7/8 in wide, so the workpiece gap must accept those dimensions.

Will the swivel jaw pad mark softer woods or metals I already use?

The swivel pad rotates to distribute force evenly, reducing the chance of surface marks on wood or metal.
