10-Pack USB Floppy Drives

This 10-pack supplies ten external 3.5-inch floppy drives that connect through USB Type C. Each unit reads and writes standard 1.44 MB diskettes without extra software. The drives draw power from the host port and install drivers automatically on Windows 2000 through Windows 11. They are suited for IT departments, archives or educators who need multiple readers for legacy media.

Capacity and headroom

A single drive handles the full 1.44 MB capacity of a standard 3.5-inch diskette, which is sufficient for text documents, small images or boot images from that era. Larger files spanning multiple disks will require manual disk swapping, and the USB 2.0-class interface limits sustained throughput. The pack does not increase per-disk capacity or add high-density format support.

Replaces internal drives and single units

These drives replace missing or failed internal floppy controllers on modern PCs and laptops that lack a 3.5-inch bay. The 10-pack is worthwhile when equipping several workstations, a classroom or a lab where simultaneous access to archival disks is needed. Buyers who only need occasional single-disk access or who require USB-A connectors without an adapter will not benefit from the bulk quantity.

Questions about this item

Will the USB Type-C 1.44 MB floppy drive work on my Windows 7 laptop alongside a legacy USB 2.0 hub?

The drive supports Windows 2000 through Windows 11 and draws power from the USB port, so it will operate through a USB 2.0 hub on Windows 7 without extra drivers.

How can I confirm the 3.5-inch floppy drive is reading disks correctly after I plug it in?

Insert a formatted 1.44 MB disk; the drive should appear in File Explorer within seconds and let you open or copy files immediately.

What comes in the 10-pack and do I need any extra cables for the Type-C connection?

The pack contains ten USB floppy drives; each unit connects directly via its built-in Type-C plug so no separate cable is required.
