Replacement 290 W PSU for OptiPlex 3020, 7020, 9020 and T1700 mini-towers, matching part numbers KPRG9, N0KPM and RVTHD
This 290 W power supply replaces Dell part numbers KPRG9, N0KPM and RVTHD in OptiPlex 3020, 7020 and 9020 Mini Tower chassis, plus the Precision T1700 MT. It accepts 100-240 V input at 5.4 A across 50-60 Hz, making it suitable for worldwide mains voltages. The unit is new and built to the original 290 W specification for these workstations.
Buyers restoring a failed PSU in one of the listed OptiPlex or Precision MT models will find the correct connector layout and rated output. Systems that require higher wattage, a different form factor such as SFF or Micro Tower, or proprietary pin-outs not covered by the three Dell part numbers should look at other units. This supply does not support chassis or configurations outside the named compatibility list.
The single figure that determines suitability is the 290 W max power rating combined with the exact Mini Tower form factor. If the target workstation demands more than 290 W or uses a smaller chassis, this PSU will not meet the requirement. Verify the original part number matches KPRG9, N0KPM or RVTHD before ordering.

Remove the side panel, unplug the old unit's motherboard and drive cables, slide the new supply into the chassis, secure the four rear screws, then reconnect every cable — the step most often missed is plugging in the 4-pin CPU power connector near the socket.
The internal fan is the only moving part; plan to blow dust out of the intake grille once a year and replace the whole unit if the fan becomes noisy or voltages drift under load.
The 290 watt maximum output is the hard ceiling; sustained draw at that level will hit the over-current protection before thermal limits become an issue.
