Compatible Headphone Cable

This 120 cm cable is built for Sony MDR-Z7, MDR-Z1R and MDR-Z7M2 headphones. It terminates in a 3.5 mm plug for direct connection to phones, tablets and computers. The single-crystal silver-plated core with TPE insulation and nylon braid aims to preserve signal integrity.

Limits of the 3.5 mm Connection

The 3.5 mm jack restricts use to unbalanced stereo output from portable devices and PC sound cards. It cannot carry the balanced 4.4 mm signal that the MDR-Z7M2 also supports, so buyers needing that topology must look elsewhere. Length is fixed at 120 cm with no extension option.

Single-Crystal Silver-Plated Core

The conductor uses a single-crystal silver-plated wire intended to reduce resistance and distortion. Combined with the TPE middle layer and nylon outer braid, this construction targets improved resolution, smoother mids and fuller bass. If that material choice does not match the listener’s preference, the cable will not suit.
