What these pads fit

WMtec cooling silk ear pads are replacement cushions made for Studio2 3 headphones. They come as a pair of blue sponge covers that slip over the existing drivers. The soft ice-silk surface stays cool against the skin during long sessions at home or on the move.

Thermals and daily comfort

Ice-silk fabric wicks heat away from the ears so temperature build-up stays low during typical listening periods. The sponge core keeps its shape without hardening, so clamping force remains gentle and no extra pressure is added to the headband. No power or active cooling is involved.

Behaviour over long sessions

After several hours the pads still feel cool and the sponge does not flatten noticeably. Sound isolation stays consistent because the seal around the ear does not degrade with heat. Buyers who want leatherette, velour or a different mounting system will need another product.

Questions about this item

How do I fit these cooling silk ear pads onto my Studio2 3 headphones, and what step often goes wrong?

Stretch each pad over the ear cup rim until the inner lip seats fully in the groove; the common mistake is leaving a section unseated, which causes the pad to slip off during use.

What part of these ear pads will wear out first and need replacing?

The memory-sponge core gradually loses rebound after months of daily compression, so the pads themselves are the replacement item once they no longer spring back.

At what point does heat build-up become noticeable during a long session?

The ice-silk surface stays cool for roughly two hours of continuous wear; after that the sponge retains body heat and the cooling effect diminishes.
