Questions about this item

Does the cloth cover trap heat against the 1000XM3 headband during long sessions?

The thin cloth layer adds minimal insulation, so the 1000XM3 headband stays at roughly the same temperature as without it.

What must I already own for this cover to be useful?

You need a Sony WH-1000XM2 or WH-1000XM3 headphone; the cover fits only those models.

Will the zipper scratch the original padding on my older 1000XM2?

The zipper faces outward and the soft cloth loop sits against the headband, preventing direct contact with the padding.
