235 W SFF power supply for OptiPlex 760, 780, 960 and 980 desktops with 100-240 V input
This 235W server power supply matches part numbers R224M, 0R224M and CN-0R224M for OptiPlex 760, 780, 960 and 980 small-form-factor systems. It is a new unit built to the original L235P-01 specification for direct swap-in.
The unit accepts 100-240V at 4.5A across 50-60Hz mains, allowing worldwide operation without a voltage switch. A built-in fan manages thermals in the compact SFF chassis while delivering the rated 235W maximum output.
The package contains only the power supply itself; no modular cables, mounting brackets or configuration utilities are supplied. Installers must reuse the existing SFF chassis screws and power cables from the original unit.
Measured against everything we stock in Server & Hot-Plug PSUs, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Slide the unit into the SFF bay until the latch clicks, then connect the 24-pin motherboard plug and the 4-pin CPU power lead; the step most people miss is locking the retention lever before tightening the rear thumbscrew.
Clean the intake grille and internal fan blades with compressed air every six to twelve months; the electrolytic capacitors inside are rated for long service but will eventually require full unit replacement when hold-up time drops.
The 235W maximum output is the first hard limit; sustained operation at that level raises internal temperatures until the over-temperature protection triggers a shutdown.
