Compatible Replacement for MDR-1A

These protein earpads are designed specifically for Sony MDR-1A headphones. They serve as a direct replacement for worn, lost or damaged original cushions. The accessory restores comfort and helps maintain the headphone's acoustic seal.

Sponge Material and Slow-Rebound Fit

Each pad uses a soft sponge core covered in leather-like protein leather. The slow-rebound foam conforms to the ear shape for a cozy fit during long listening sessions. This material choice aims to enhance sound quality by improving isolation.

Pair of Pads Only

The package contains two earpads and nothing else. No additional accessories, mounting tools or adhesive are included. Buyers who need a complete headphone or extra hardware must look elsewhere. Colour may vary slightly from product images.

Questions about this item

How will the soft leather and slow-rebound foam change daily comfort?

The pads use soft leather over slow-rebound foam that moulds to the ear shape, reducing pressure during long sessions and keeping the seal comfortable.

What fitting method do these replacement cushions use on the MDR-1A?

They stretch over the existing ear-cup mounting rings, so installation is a simple push-on fit without tools or adhesives.

What physical size should I check to ensure they sit flush on my MDR-1A?

The pads are made to the MDR-1A profile; allow a 1–2 cm tolerance from manual measurement when comparing to your original cushions.
