Travel plug adapter pack

This pack contains twenty straight blade plugs that convert US, Chinese or Japanese flat-pin plugs to the European two-pin format. They are intended for travellers or importers who need to connect North American or Asian appliances to continental wall sockets. Each adapter accepts a maximum of 6 A at either 125 V or 250 V. The white finish suits domestic and office environments.

Build and connector details

The housing is moulded from fire-retardant ABS with copper contacts for reliable conductivity. Two pin widths are provided in the same batch: a 4.0 mm variant and a 4.8 mm variant, both 19 mm long. The straight blade profile keeps the adapter flush against the socket, reducing strain on the outlet and allowing furniture to sit close to the wall. Lightweight construction adds minimal bulk to luggage.

Practical limits of the interface

The adapters only reshape the pins; they do not transform voltage, so connected devices must already support the local mains voltage. The 6 A rating restricts use to low-power equipment such as chargers, lamps or small electronics. No earth connection is present, limiting suitability for Class I appliances that require protective grounding. They are not designed for permanent installation or high-duty cycles.
