This Wooden Camera top handle slides into an ARCA Swiss slot on the separately sold Top Mount to give RED KOMODO operators a firm, ergonomic hold. Weighing .4 lbs (178 g), it adds minimal bulk while preserving the camera balance needed for run-and-gun filming. The handle position adjusts to match individual shooting styles, reducing fatigue during extended takes. A shoe mount on top accepts on-camera lights or microphones for added versatility.

Upgrade from Bare-Camera Handheld

Without a dedicated handle, operators rely on the camera body alone, which can introduce shake and limit accessory mounting. The jump is worth it when shots demand steady handheld footage, quick access to the control screen, or a platform for a light and microphone via the shoe mount. It also adds a side 15 mm opening for an optional UVF Mount V2 and multiple 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 ARRI accessory points for monitors, arms or other rigging.

Simple Slide-In Install, Mind the Mount

Installation is a straightforward slide into the ARCA Swiss slot on the Top Mount Only (sold separately), leaving the camera control screen accessible. The main pitfall is attempting to use the handle without that Top Mount, as the RED KOMODO body itself lacks the required slot.
