Wooster Brush Company 4174 1-1/2" Angle Sash Firm Paint Brush

Wooster 4174 Angle Sash Brush

This Wooster 4174 angle sash brush uses a firm polyester/nylon blend to hold and release all paint and coating types. The 1-1/2 inch width and 2-7/16 inch bristle length suit trim, cutting-in and detail work on wood, metal, drywall or concrete. A wood sash handle gives a traditional grip for controlled strokes on smooth or medium surfaces.

Best for trim painters and detail work

Painters who need a firm, angled brush for cutting-in corners, window sash and narrow trim will find the synthetic filament blend holds shape with acrylic or water-based coatings. The purple and sable bristle colour helps visibility while working. Buyers who want a softer tip for delicate clear coats or a wider head for large flat walls should look at something else.

Firm polyester/nylon filament blend

The firm stiffness of the synthetic bristles is the single specification that decides if this brush matches the job; it resists flattening under heavy-bodied paints yet cleans out easily with water. A softer filament would not push thick coatings into texture, while a stiffer one could leave brush marks on smooth cabinet faces.
