Adhesive Applicator for All Adhesives

The Wooster Brush Company R245-7 is a 7" adhesive applicator designed for professionals and DIYers who need to spread any adhesive or epoxy. Its woven fabric cover works with water-based or solvent-based products. The polypropylene core fits any standard 1-1/2 in diameter cage frame.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

As a hand tool the applicator produces no heat, no noise and draws no power during normal use. The woven fabric cover holds adhesive evenly while the polypropylene core resists solvents. There are no moving parts or electrical components to generate warmth or sound.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous application the fabric nap maintains consistent coverage without matting or shedding. The solvent-resistant core keeps its shape through extended sessions with epoxy or water-based adhesives. Clean-up is straightforward so the tool stays ready for the next job.

Questions about this item

How do you fit the 7" adhesive applicator onto a 1-1/2" diameter cage frame, and what step is often missed?

Slide the woven-fabric cover onto the frame until the polypropylene core seats fully against the end cap; the step often missed is checking that the core is flush so the 1/8" nap rolls evenly.

What maintenance or replacement will the woven-fabric cover need later?

The cover is disposable; once adhesive cures in the 1/8" nap it cannot be cleaned, so replace the entire applicator when the fabric stiffens or sheds fibres.

What limit appears first during sustained rolling with solvent-based epoxy?

Solvent attack on the polypropylene core softens the bond to the fabric, causing the cover to slip or delaminate before the nap itself wears out.
