9 in Foam Roller Cover

The Wooster R265-9 is a 9 in foam roller cover designed for applying paint, enamels and varnishes to smooth surfaces such as drywall, metal and wood. It fits any standard 1 1/2 in diameter cage frame, making it suitable for both DIY decorators and trade painters.

3/16 in Nap for Smooth Finishes

The 3/16 in nap lays down a thin, even film on smooth substrates and holds enough material for typical wall and trim work. It runs out on heavily textured plaster or rough-sawn timber where a deeper pile would be needed to reach into the profile.

Phenolic Core and Foam Construction

A phenolic core resists water absorption and keeps the cover round during extended use, while the foam cover material cleans up easily with the appropriate solvent for the coating used. The cage-frame compatibility allows quick changes without tools.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 1/2 in phenolic core fit the older cage frame I already own?

Yes, the cover is designed for any 1 1/2 in diameter cage frame, so your existing 9 in frame will accept it directly.

How can I verify the foam cover is laying down an even film on smooth drywall?

Check the wet edge for a uniform, stipple-free coating; the foam material is made for smooth surfaces and all paint types to leave a consistent finish.

Does the package include a roller frame or only the foam cover?

Only the 9 in foam roller cover is supplied; a compatible 1 1/2 in cage frame must be purchased separately if you do not already have one.
