4 in Mini Roller Kit

The Wooster RR394-4 kit contains a 4 in woven fabric roller cover with a 3/8 in nap mounted on a 4 wire cage frame. The plastic handle is black and the shank is galvanised for durability. It is designed for use with all paints, enamels and varnishes on semi-smooth surfaces.

Capacity on Semi-Smooth Surfaces

The 3/8 in nap holds enough coating for efficient coverage of concrete, drywall, masonry, metal and wood. On rough or heavily textured substrates the thinner nap will run out of material quickly and leave an uneven film. The 4 in width suits trim, corners and small panels rather than large wall expanses.

Frame and Compatibility Limits

The 4 wire cage frame accepts only 4 in covers with a matching core size. It will not fit standard 9 in roller frames or larger mini roller systems. The kit cross-references Grainger part 6WB45 and manufacturer part BR403-4 1/2 for replacement cover identification.

Questions about this item

Will the 4‑wire cage frame fit the roller covers I already use on my 4‑inch mini roller?

The kit includes a 4‑wire cage frame designed for 4‑inch covers, so standard 4‑inch mini roller covers will slide on and lock in place.

How can I confirm the woven fabric cover is applying paint evenly on semi‑smooth drywall?

After the first stroke, check for a uniform film with no streaks or heavy edges; the 3/8‑inch nap on woven fabric should lay down an even coat on semi‑smooth surfaces.

Does the kit come with a tray or do I need to buy one separately?

The box contains the roller cover, 4‑wire cage frame and plastic handle only; a paint tray or bucket grid is not included and must be purchased separately.
