2-Inch Chip Brush For Detail Work

This Wooster chip brush measures two inches wide with a soft China hair bristle fill. The transparent plastic handle keeps the tool light for trim, touch-up and hobby projects. Soft bristles lay down thin coatings without heavy brush marks.

Replaces Worn Small Brushes

Switch when the old brush loses its flag or leaves streaks in clear coats. The jump is worth it when you need a fresh edge for stain, varnish or glue on narrow surfaces. Larger brushes cannot reach the same tight corners.

Simple Hand Tool Setup

No assembly required; rinse the bristles before first use to remove loose hairs. Clean immediately with the correct solvent for the finish used. Dried material in the ferrule is the common cause of premature failure.

Questions about this item

Will the 2 in brush with its 1 11/16 in bristle length reach into tight corners on a chip brush job?

The 2 in wide brush head and 1 11/16 in bristle length let you work into corners and edges without the handle hitting adjacent surfaces.

How do I prep the China hair bristles before first use so they do not shed?

Rinse the soft China hair bristles in the appropriate solvent for your paint, spin out excess liquid, then tap the brush gently to align the filaments before loading.

When should I replace this chip brush rather than keep cleaning it?

Replace the brush when the soft China hair bristles lose their flagged tips, hold less paint, or the plastic handle shows cracking from solvent exposure.
