USCG Type III child flotation

The WOW Watersports life jacket is a US Coast Guard and Transport Canada approved Type III personal flotation device built for children. Its shell and flotation core are both made from Evoprene, while the inner lining uses the same material for consistent feel. A front zipper and two adjustable buckles keep the vest securely in place without riding up during activity.

Suits families wanting secure fit

This vest suits families who need a certified flotation aid that stays positioned on a child while allowing free movement for swimming or watersports. The unisex yellow design aids visibility on the water. It is not intended for buyers who require a Type I offshore life jacket or a Type II near-shore buoyant vest for unconscious wearers.

Worn over swimwear, no tools needed

The jacket slips on like a vest and fastens with the integrated zipper and buckles, so no separate straps or tools are required. Its flexible Evoprene construction moves with the wearer, leaving arms and shoulders unrestricted for paddling or play. The bright yellow shell remains visible when wet, helping supervisors track the child from boat or shore.

Questions about this item

What size child does the yellow WOW Watersports life jacket fit?

The jacket is designed for children and uses a zipper plus two buckles to create a secure, snug fit that prevents the vest from riding up during activity.

Can this Type III vest be worn over a thin wetsuit the child already owns?

Yes — the flexible Evoprene shell and inner lining stretch to accommodate a thin wetsuit underneath while still allowing full mobility on the water.

How do I confirm the jacket is providing proper buoyancy once my child is in the water?

With the zipper closed and both buckles fastened, the USCG-approved Type III vest keeps the wearer in a stable face-up position so you can visually verify flotation performance.
