It is suited for installers, educators or home users who need the same image on multiple monitors, projectors or TVs. The unit only mirrors content and cannot extend a desktop across screens. A USB power cable is included for operation.

HDMI 1.4 Bandwidth Limits Output Resolution

The splitter complies with HDMI standards 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. Maximum supported resolution is 3840x2160 at 30Hz, with backward compatibility down to 480i at 60Hz. Audio pass-through covers DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD formats. The HDMI 1.4 link restricts 4K output to 30Hz; higher refresh rates at 4K are not possible through this device.
