Four-Port 8K DP 1.4 KVM Switch

This KVM switch lets four computers share two DisplayPort monitors, three USB 3.0 peripherals and an audio microphone output. It is aimed at multi-system workstations, home offices or streaming setups where a single keyboard, mouse and dual-display layout must serve several PCs. The unit supports extended, mirrored or spliced display modes when the connected graphics cards allow them. No software installation is required for basic operation.

Rear-Facing Ports and Passive Power Design

All DisplayPort and USB cables connect to rear-mounted ports, keeping the desktop surface clear of cable clutter. The switch draws power from an included 5 V DC adapter but needs no additional power supply for the connected computers. Front-panel push buttons and a wired remote provide two hardware switching methods, while LED indicators show the active PC at a glance. USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gbps data throughput for keyboards, mice, printers or storage devices.

DP 1.4 Bandwidth and Resolution Ceiling

The DisplayPort 1.4 interface caps dual-monitor output at 7680x4320 at 60 Hz, with backward compatibility to DP 1.2 for older sources. Single-stream bandwidth limits mean that driving two 8K panels simultaneously depends on each computer's graphics capability and may require reduced refresh rates or chroma subscaling beyond the stated maximum. Audio and microphone pass-through follow the active video channel without independent switching.
