No driver installation is required and the device draws power directly from the USB connection.

Interface limits and practical use

The HDMI input handles up to 4K at 60 frames per second, while the capture path tops out at 1080p 60fps, so 4K sources are down‑scaled during recording or streaming. A single HDMI output provides a loop‑through for a local monitor, and the USB Type‑C link carries both video and audio without an external power supply. Latency is low enough for live commentary, but the 1080p ceiling means native 4K capture is not possible.

Build, connectors and daily handling

The unit ships in a black enclosure with one HDMI input, one HDMI output and a USB Type‑C port. Plug‑and‑play operation works on Windows and macOS with standard capture software such as OBS.
