Carries 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz over a 3.3 ft DisplayPort 1.4 link
This DisplayPort 1.4 cable connects a source device such as a PC or laptop to a compatible monitor, TV or projector. It uses male-to-male connectors and a solid copper conductor with double shielding. The 3.3 ft length suits desktop setups where the display sits close to the computer. It is intended for users who need high-resolution video up to 8K at 60 Hz or high refresh rates at lower resolutions.
The cable transfers data at up to 32.4 Gbps, a 50% increase over DisplayPort 1.2 cables. It supports 8K at 60 Hz with 10-bit colour, RGB 4:4:4, HDR and DSC. At 4K it handles 120 Hz with 10-bit colour, RGB 4:4:4 and HDR, while 2K and 1080p reach 165 Hz. Multi-stream transport and HDCP 2.2 are also supported. Both the source and the display must support the desired resolution and refresh rate for the cable to deliver it.
The cable is plug-and-play with no connection direction; either end can attach to the source or the display. A nylon braided jacket adds durability for regular handling. The most common issue occurs when the graphics card or monitor does not support the target resolution or refresh rate, resulting in a lower signal or no image. Ensure both devices are configured for the desired mode in their display settings.

The 3.3 ft length suits short runs between a GPU and a monitor on the same desk; choose a longer cable only if the devices sit further apart, because DisplayPort 1.4 keeps its 32.4 Gbps bandwidth at this length without signal loss.
The cable carries the full 32.4 Gbps needed for 7680×4320 at 60 Hz with 10-bit RGB 4:4:4 and HDR, but your graphics card and monitor must both support that mode; the cable itself does not limit the resolution.
DisplayPort 1.4 raises the ceiling to 32.4 Gbps — a 50 % increase over 1.2 — enabling 8K 60 Hz, 4K 144 Hz and 1440p up to 165 Hz with HDR and HDCP 2.2, provided the source and display also support those rates.
