It connects to a host computer over USB 3.0 and is recognised immediately by OBS, Potplayer and similar software on Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.9 or later and Linux. The aluminium shell keeps the unit compact and cool during extended sessions.

Sustained capture at 1080p 60 fps over USB 3.0

While the HDMI input can handle 4K at 60 fps, the USB pathway streams at 1080p at 60 fps with ultra-low latency. The device maintains this frame rate continuously without dropped frames or added lag, making it reliable for long live streams, tournament recordings or conference capture. No driver installation is required, so the workflow stays stable across operating system updates.

USB 3.0 bandwidth caps recorded resolution

The USB 3.0 interface limits the encoded output to 1080p at 60 fps even though the HDMI front end accepts 4K at 60 fps. Loop-through to a monitor reaches 4K at 30 fps, so the source can be viewed at higher resolution while the recording stays at 1080p. USB 2.0 ports are supported but cannot sustain the full 1080p 60 fps stream. Buyers who need 4K capture files should consider a device with a faster host connection.
