What this cable is and who needs it

The WRIARICH PQ003 is a USB4 Gen 3x2 cable rated for 40 Gbps data transfer and 240 W power delivery. It suits users who move large media libraries between USB-C devices or drive an 8K display at 60 Hz from a single port. It is not for buyers who need Thunderbolt certification or longer reach than the supplied length.

How it fits into a build

The male-to-male USB-C connectors work with any USB-C port and remain backward compatible with earlier USB and power standards including PD 3.1, PD 3.0 PPS, QC 4.0 and AFC. One cable replaces separate data, video and charging leads, freeing ports on compact laptops or docks. Builders who require active optical extension beyond 1.6 ft must look elsewhere.

Behaviour under sustained load

Lab testing confirms the cable withstands 5,000 bend cycles without signal degradation. The 48 V / 5 A capability maintains full 240 W delivery during prolonged charging sessions, while the 40 Gbps link supports continuous 8K 60 Hz or dual 4K 60 Hz output without throttling. Users relying on passive cables for permanent high-wattage installations should verify thermal allowances.

Questions about this item

What happens to the 40 Gbps speed when the cable runs at its 240 W limit for hours?

The cable is rated for 40 Gbps and 240 W simultaneously; sustained use at both limits stays within the USB4 Gen 3x2 specification.

Does the cable get hot or draw extra power when it delivers 48 V at 5 A all day?

It handles 240 W (48 V / 5 A) through PD 3.1 without active cooling; lab testing covers 5 000 bend cycles at full load.

Which charger and monitor must I already own to reach 8K at 60 Hz and 240 W charging?

A PD 3.1 charger supplying 48 V / 5 A and a display with USB-C Alt Mode accepting 8K 60 Hz or dual 4K 60 Hz.
