One male to two female RJ45 ports

This splitter cable converts a single RJ45 male connector into two RJ45 female sockets. It lets a laptop or desktop share an existing Ethernet port with a second device in a home or office. Only one connected device can access the network at a time.

Bandwidth limited to one active link

The adapter passes through the existing Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 link without adding switching logic. Both sockets are wired in parallel, so simultaneous traffic from two computers will collide and degrade performance. Use it for alternating access, not concurrent throughput.

Passive wiring, no negotiation

Gold-plated pins and metal shielding reduce external interference on the 1 ft cable. The device requires no power and performs no auto-negotiation; speed and duplex depend entirely on the upstream port and the active device.

Questions about this item

Will the WRIARICH RJ45 splitter let my laptop and older desktop share the same Cat6 wall jack without a router?

Yes, the 1 male to 2 female adapter converts a single RJ45 port into two sockets so two computers can share a DSL, cable modem or Ethernet port, though only one device can be online at a time

How can I confirm the splitter is passing a stable gigabit link after I plug it in?

Check that the link LEDs on both connected devices light up and run a speed test; the gold-plated pins and metal shielding are designed to reduce interference and keep the signal stable

What comes in the package and do I need any extra cables to use it with my existing Cat5e runs?

The box contains one 1 ft RJ45 male to 2 female adapter cable; you will need your own Ethernet patch cables to reach each device from the splitter
