8K 30Hz bidirectional DP 1.4 switch

This DisplayPort 1.4 switch handles 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz over a 32.4 Gbps link. It operates bidirectionally as a 1-in-2-out or 2-in-1-out selector for monitors, projectors, laptops or desktops. An LED indicator shows the active port and the unit ships with a 5 V power cable.

Sustained 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with HDR

The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth is maintained continuously, supporting 10-bit colour depth and high dynamic range without compression artefacts during long sessions. Audio passes through at up to 32-bit 1536 kHz, keeping sound in sync with video. Backward compatibility with earlier DisplayPort versions preserves the same throughput for legacy sources.

Compact black enclosure with female DP ports

The aluminium-bodied switch measures 12 by 6 by 0.08 inches and weighs 1.2 ounces, fitting behind a display or inside a rack shelf. Two female DisplayPort 1.4 inputs and one female output accept standard cables without adapters. A simple push button toggles the active channel, and the external 5 V supply ensures stable operation under full load.

Questions about this item

Does the TJ-A106 generate noticeable heat or fan noise when switching 4K 120 Hz signals all day?

The TJ-A106 is a passive switch with no fan; it draws only 5 V DC and produces no audible noise or measurable heat during continuous 4K 120 Hz operation.

Which cables and power source must I already have to use the TJ-A106 in 2-in 1-out mode?

You need two standard DisplayPort 1.4 cables for the sources, one DisplayPort 1.4 cable for the display, and the included DC 5 V power line connected to a USB charger or port.

Will the TJ-A106 pass 1080p 240 Hz and HDR from an older GPU that only supports DP 1.2?

Yes, the switch is backward compatible with all earlier DisplayPort standards, so a DP 1.2 GPU can still deliver 1080p 240 Hz and HDR through the TJ-A106.
