A 3.3 ft bi-directional Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 2.1 cable supporting 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz and 4K at 240 Hz with 80 Gbps bandwidth
This 3.3 ft male-to-male cable links a Mini DisplayPort 2.1 source such as a laptop or Mac to a full-size DisplayPort 2.1 monitor or TV. It is built for users who need a short, bi-directional link that carries both video and audio without adapters. The gold-plated connectors and braided jacket suit daily connect and disconnect cycles.
VESA certified DisplayPort 2.1 delivers up to 80 Gbps, enabling 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz and 4K at 240 Hz. Lower resolutions such as 4K at 144 Hz or 2K at 240 Hz run with ample headroom for HDR10, Dolby Vision and 10-bit colour. The 32.4 Gbps HBR3 mode covers legacy 8K 60 Hz and 5K 60 Hz gear. It cannot drive displays that require more than 80 Gbps or resolutions beyond 16K.
The interface tops out at 80 Gbps, so multi-stream configurations above that aggregate bandwidth will throttle. HDCP 2.2 and Dolby Atmos pass through, but the cable adds no processing of its own. Thunderbolt 2 hosts work in DisplayPort alt-mode only; they do not gain Thunderbolt speeds or daisy-chaining. Buyers needing longer runs, active signal boosting or USB-C alternate modes should look elsewhere.

The cable uses DisplayPort 2.1 connectors and is backward compatible with earlier DisplayPort versions, so it will carry video and audio to a Mini DisplayPort 1.2 display at that standard's maximum resolution and refresh rate.
Check the display's on-screen menu or your GPU control panel to verify the active signal reports 4K resolution at 240 Hz with HDR enabled, which matches the cable's rated 80 Gbps bandwidth.
The box contains the 3.3 ft Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 2.1 cable with gold-plated connectors and a braided jacket; no additional adapters or accessories are required for a direct Mini DP to DP connection.
