The WRIARICH Type-C KVM switch connects two laptops to one HDMI or DisplayPort monitor, keyboard, mouse and other USB 2.0 peripherals. It also provides an RJ45 Ethernet port and an auxiliary audio output. The unit is designed for users who want a single desk setup for a work laptop and a personal laptop.

The specification that decides fit

Video output reaches 8K at 60 Hz over either the HDMI or DisplayPort connection. Both laptops must supply video and data through USB-C ports that support DisplayPort Alt Mode and PD 3.0 charging. If a laptop lacks Alt Mode or cannot accept 100 W power delivery, the switch will not deliver video or charge that machine.

Installation and common issues

The switch is plug-and-play with no driver installation required; switching between computers is done with a push button on the unit. An external 100 W power adapter must be connected to the PD port to enable laptop charging. Buyers who need to share more than one monitor or who have laptops without USB-C Alt Mode cannot use this device.
