4K HDMI to 1080p USB 2.0 capture device

The WRIARICH U167 accepts a 4K HDMI signal and delivers 1080p video over USB 2.0 for recording or streaming. It draws power from the host and works with Windows 7 through 10, macOS 10.9 or later, and Linux without a separate driver install. The compact silver-and-black enclosure measures 14.33 by 12.83 by 9.06 inches and weighs 0.032 kilograms.

Streamers and creators needing simple 1080p ingest

This unit suits anyone capturing gameplay from a PS4, Switch, Xbox or similar HDMI source into OBS, PotPlayer or QuickTime at 1080p. It does not serve users who must record or pass through native 4K resolution, high-frame-rate 4K, or uncompressed 4K video for later editing. Buyers requiring multi-channel audio extraction, hardware encoding offload, or PCIe bandwidth should look elsewhere.

4K input downscaled to 1080p over USB 2.0

The single deciding specification is the 4K-to-1080p conversion performed inside the device before the USB 2.0 link. If your workflow demands full 4K capture, this hardware cannot meet that need.
