Dual-Monitor USB-C KVM Switch

This USB-C HDMI KVM switch lets one keyboard and mouse control a desktop and a laptop while sharing two HDMI monitors. It supports extended or mirrored display modes at up to 4K@60Hz resolution. The unit includes a wired remote for convenient switching. Mac users should note the USB-C port operates in SST mode only.

Sustained-Load Behaviour

An external 12V power adapter supplies the switch so it does not draw from host USB ports. The built-in 80W PD port keeps the connected laptop charged during long sessions. Three USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C port maintain 5Gbps data rates for peripherals such as external drives. Video remains stable at 4K@60Hz with backward compatibility to 1080P and 720P.

Installation Notes

Connect each computer using the supplied USB-C and USB 3.0 cables, attach both monitors via HDMI, then plug in the 12V adapter. Switch between systems with the front push buttons or the wired remote. Keep HDMI cables under 6.56 feet for reliable signal quality. The switch is not suited for setups requiring more than two computers or monitors.

Questions about this item

Does the KVM switch itself add heat or fan noise when running all day with the 80W PD charging active?

The unit has no fan and draws power from the included 12V adapter, so it adds negligible heat and no audible noise even while delivering 80W PD to the laptop.

Which cables and ports must my desktop and laptop already provide to use both 4K@60Hz monitors?

Each computer needs one USB-C video-capable port plus one HDMI output, and you will use the supplied USB-C and USB 3.0 cables for the upstream connections.

Will my older 1080P monitors work at their native resolution alongside a new 4K display?

Yes, the switch is backward compatible with 1080P and 720P, so mixed-resolution pairs run at each monitor's native setting without scaling issues.
