What this capture device does
The WRIARICH YCY-2353 captures a single HDMI video signal at up to 1080p 60Hz and passes the same signal through its HDMI output for a local display. It records in formats such as mp4, mov and mkv while sampling audio at 48 KHz PCM. The unit draws no more than 2.5 W and needs no external power adapter. Streamers, educators and conference users get a compact recorder that works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
Installing and common issues
Plug the HDMI source into the input, connect the USB 3.0 cable to the host and the device appears as a UVC and UAC camera without extra drivers. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 is supported but throughput drops to the older bus limit. Some laptops only provide USB 2.0 ports, which prevents 1080p 60 capture; verify the port type before relying on the higher frame rates. The LED indicator confirms link status and helps diagnose connection problems.
Limits of the USB 3.0 interface
HDMI input accepts 4K 30Hz yet the capture path tops out at 1080p 60Hz, so 4K sources are downscaled before recording. USB 3.0 bandwidth of 300 to 350 MB/s is sufficient for the supported resolutions but leaves no headroom for higher bit-depth or multi-channel captures. The device cannot capture multiple HDMI inputs simultaneously and does not support HDR passthrough. Buyers who want 4K 60 recording or multi-source switching will need a different class of hardware.

Questions about this item
How do I confirm the YCY-2353 is capturing at 1080p 60Hz after setup?
Open your capture software and check the active video format; it should report 1080p at 60Hz with 48 KHz PCM audio, and the LED indicator on the device will be lit.
What comes in the box with the YCY-2353 and what must I provide separately?
The unit includes the capture card with one HDMI input, one HDMI output and a USB 3.0 connection; you must supply an HDMI cable for the source, a second HDMI cable for pass-through display, and a USB 3.0 cable to the host.
Should I choose the USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 mode for 1080p 60Hz recording?
Use the USB 3.0 connection; it delivers 300–350 MB/s throughput required for 1080p 60Hz, while USB 2.0 bandwidth is insufficient for that frame rate.
