AX1800 USB Wi-Fi 6 adapter

This USB Wi-Fi adapter upgrades a desktop or laptop to WiFi 6 using a USB 3.0 Type-C port. It supports dual-band operation on 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. The device is intended for users who need faster wireless speeds on systems with older internal Wi-Fi or no antenna at all. It includes a USB-A to USB-C adapter for broader port compatibility.

Windows 10 or newer required

Check that your computer runs Windows 10 or a newer version before ordering. The adapter is not compatible with MacOS or Linux operating systems. A driver download is required for installation. Ensure a USB 3.0 Type-C or USB-A port is available for the included adapter cable.

1201 Mbps on 5GHz and 573.5 Mbps on 2.4GHz

The adapter delivers up to 1201 Mbps on 5GHz and 573.5 Mbps on 2.4GHz when connected to a WiFi 6 router. A 45cm extension cable helps position the dual 3dBi omni-directional antennas away from interference. It provides a stronger, more stable connection than WiFi 5 hardware. Buyers needing MacOS or Linux support should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the box include a USB-C adapter or do I need to buy one separately?

The package includes a USB-A to USB-C adapter so you can plug the dongle into either port type without an extra purchase.

Should I choose the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band for the highest speed?

The 5 GHz band delivers up to 1,201 Mbps while the 2.4 GHz band reaches 573.5 Mbps, so pick 5 GHz when signal strength allows.

Will the quoted 1,800 Mbps figure be the actual throughput on my Windows 10 PC?

The 1,800 Mbps is the combined PHY ceiling of both radios; real-world throughput on Windows 10 will be lower due to overhead, distance and interference.
