Castable design frees installation

No hull drilling is required because two small holes on the sensor allow tethering with fishing line for casting up to 262FT from the display unit. Depth range spans 2.6FT to 164FT and the maximum wireless distance between sensor and screen reaches 262FT. Work and simulation modes let you test operation before deployment.

Display and charging indicators

Switching the background to white improves sunlight readability. The sensor battery indicator on the display only becomes accurate once the sensor floats in water and a red light on the sensor extinguishes when charging is complete. The unit includes a two year warranty with daily brand support.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum operating depth before the sensor stops reading?

The sonar reads down to 164 ft (50 m); beyond that depth it no longer returns bottom or fish data.

How much heat or noise does the floating sensor produce during a full day on the water?

The castable sensor has no fan or moving parts, so it runs silently and generates no noticeable heat while transmitting.

Which display unit is required to view the sonar data from this sensor?

The sensor pairs only with its matching colour TFT LCD handheld display; a smartphone or third-party screen cannot receive its signal.
