Extends four USB 2.0 ports up to 165 ft over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable with plug-and-play operation
This powered USB 2.0 extender transmits signals up to 165ft over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It provides four USB 2.0 ports at the receiver end for connecting peripherals such as webcams, storage drives, keyboards and mice. The system is compatible with Windows, MacOS, Android and Linux without requiring driver installation. It supports data rates up to 480Mbps and maintains backward compatibility with USB 1.1 devices.
The transmitter unit draws power directly from the host USB port while the receiver uses an included lockable 5V 3A DC adapter for stable operation. A 1.5 metre USB-A to USB-B cable connects the transmitter to the host computer. The solid metal construction allows easy mounting and the 15W power budget supports bus-powered devices like hard drives and dual webcams simultaneously.
Ensure the host USB port can supply sufficient current for the transmitter and verify that a Cat5e or Cat6 cable run of up to 50 metres is available between locations. The receiver requires a mains outlet for its dedicated power adapter. Confirm your peripherals operate within the USB 2.0 480Mbps bandwidth limit and that any dual-webcam setup uses compatible synchronisation software.

The extender uses USB 2.0 and caps at 480 Mbps over the Cat5e or Cat6 link.
The receiver requires a lockable DC 5V 3A power adapter and a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 165 ft; the transmitter draws power from the host USB port.
Connect the transmitter to the host with the included 1.5 m USB-A to USB-B cable, link both units with an Ethernet cable, power the receiver via its 5V 3A adapter, then plug peripherals into the four USB ports; the step often missed is powering the receiver before connecting devices.
