Precision Santoku for Daily Prep

The Wusthof Gourmet 1025046017 is a 7 inch santoku knife designed for home cooks who want a single blade for slicing, dicing and mincing. Its stainless steel construction delivers a balance of hardness and corrosion resistance suitable for everyday kitchen tasks.

Hollow Edge Reduces Food Adhesion

The defining specification is the hollow edge grind, which creates air pockets between the blade and the food to minimise sticking during repetitive cuts. This geometry is the deciding factor for buyers who prioritise clean release over a traditional flat grind.

Ready to Use With Simple Care

The knife arrives sharp and requires only hand washing and occasional honing to maintain its edge. The one piece Chrom Molybdenum Vanadium steel construction eliminates handle rivets that can loosen, while the lightweight 0.39 build reduces fatigue during extended prep sessions.

Questions about this item

What does the 0.39 kg weight feel like when chopping?

At 0.39 kg the knife feels light and nimble, reducing wrist fatigue during extended prep while still carrying enough mass to drive through dense vegetables.

How does the stainless steel blade hold up to daily sharpening?

The single-piece Chrom Molybdenum Vanadium steel takes a keen edge quickly on a honing steel or whetstone and retains sharpness through regular home use.

Will the 1.10 cm blade width clear a standard knife block slot?

The 1.10 cm spine fits most universal knife blocks; measure your slot if it is unusually narrow.
