Wyze Cam OG 1080p Wireless Camera

The Wyze Cam OG is a new wireless surveillance camera that streams 1080p HD video over Wi-Fi. It is built for indoor or outdoor security monitoring with an IP65 weather-resistant rating. The camera requires a corded electric power connection and integrates with the Wyze app for live viewing and alerts. It works with Google Assistant for voice control.

Suits buyers wanting colour night vision

This camera fits users who need colour night vision and instant motion or sound alerts sent to a smartphone. Two-way audio lets you speak to visitors or pets remotely. Buyers who need battery-powered wire-free installation should look elsewhere, as this model requires a constant mains connection. Users wanting continuous recording without a subscription must purchase a microSD card separately.

IP65 weather-resistant rating for outdoor mounting

The IP65 rating confirms the housing resists dust and water jets, making it suitable for exposed outdoor positions when paired with the compatible Wyze outdoor power adapter sold separately. Without that adapter the camera is limited to indoor use or covered outdoor areas. This single specification decides whether the device matches your mounting location.

Questions about this item

Does the camera include the outdoor power adapter and a microSD card for local recording?

The camera ships without the outdoor power adapter or a microSD card; both are sold separately and required for outdoor use and local storage respectively.

Should I choose cloud recording with a Cam Plus subscription or local recording on a microSD card?

Cloud recording with Cam Plus or Cam Unlimited adds person, package, pet and vehicle detection, while a microSD card gives free local storage without detection features.

What does the IP65 rating mean for everyday outdoor mounting?

IP65 means the camera is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it can stay mounted outside in rain or dust without extra housing.
