Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener

The X-ACTO 1670X is an electric pencil sharpener built for daily classroom use. Its heavy-duty motor sharpens standard and coloured pencils with consistent results. A six-size dial adjusts the entry hole to fit nearly every pencil diameter. The unit is designed for teachers who need reliable performance throughout the school day.

XL Shavings Bin and Six-Size Dial

An extra-large shavings bin holds more waste so it needs emptying less often during busy periods. The dial selects from six pencil sizes to match the tool to the task. A flyaway cutter stops automatically when the tip reaches the ideal point, preventing oversharpening. The SafeStart motor will not run if the bin is removed.

Break-Resistant Tip Technology

The cutter geometry creates precise tips that resist breakage, reducing frustration and wasted lead. Coloured pencils are sharpened without damaging the core. The sharpener weighs 1.878 kilograms and measures 16.2052 L x 24.1046 W x 24.7904 H centimeters. It is not suited for users who need a battery-powered or hand-crank model for portable use.

Questions about this item

Will the 1670X electric sharpener handle the same pencils as my older manual sharpener?

The six-size dial adjusts for nearly every pencil diameter, so it covers standard and jumbo sizes a manual sharpener might miss.

How can I confirm the flyaway cutter is stopping at the right sharpness?

Insert a pencil and listen for the motor to pause automatically when the tip reaches the ideal point; the cutter stops without oversharpening.

Does the box include replacement cutters or just the sharpener and bin?

The package contains the 1670X unit with its XL shavings bin; replacement cutters are sold separately.
