IBT Cleaner Unit for Phaser 7800

The Xerox 108R01036 is an IBT cleaner unit built for the Phaser 7800 printer. It removes residual toner from the intermediate belt transfer assembly to maintain consistent print quality. The unit is rated for 160000 pages before replacement is required. It weighs 1.35 and is sold as a single black component.

Fitment limited to Phaser 7800

This supply fits only the Phaser 7800; it will not install in any other printer or scanner model. Buyers who need maintenance parts for different hardware must look elsewhere because the mechanical interface is specific to this device. The unit is a direct replacement for the original equipment cleaner assembly.

Service life of 160000 pages

The deciding specification is the rated capacity of 160000 pages, which determines when the unit must be changed. Tracking the page counter on the Phaser 7800 tells you exactly when replacement is due. No other metric governs the service interval for this cleaner unit.

Questions about this item

How do I install the IBT cleaner unit in the Phaser 7800, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, slide the old unit out by its handle, insert the new 108R01036 until it clicks, then close the cover and run the calibration cycle from the control panel; skipping the calibration leaves the counter inaccurate.

When will the IBT cleaner unit need replacement on the Phaser 7800?

The unit is rated for 160000 pages; replace it when the printer displays the maintenance alert or when print quality shows streaks that cleaning does not remove.

What limit appears first during continuous printing with this cleaner unit?

The 160000-page capacity is the first hard limit; after that the Phaser 7800 will stop and require the unit to be swapped before printing can continue.
