Compact Mono Laser MFP for Small Offices

The Xerox B235 is a black-and-white multifunction printer built for home offices and small teams that need print, scan, copy and fax in one device. Wireless connectivity plus USB and Ethernet let users print from laptops, phones or Chromebooks without a local IT setup. Automatic two-sided printing and a 250-sheet tray keep daily workflows moving.

Thermal Behaviour and Power Draw

Laser printing warms the fuser during each job, so the unit emits noticeable heat while running at 36 pages per minute and settles to a low idle temperature between tasks. Operating on 110 V power, it draws peak current only during warm-up and active printing cycles. Fan noise is audible during print runs and drops to near-silent in standby.

Build Quality and Daily Connectivity

The chassis accommodates media up to 8.5 by 14 inches and supports a monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages for sustained workloads. Built-in Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB ports give flexible placement options whether the printer sits on a desk or a shared shelf. Security features protect access and data on the network, while the flatbed and duplex scanner handle double-sided originals in a single pass.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the Xerox B235 to my Wi-Fi network during first setup?

Power on the printer, select the wireless setup wizard on the control panel, choose your SSID and enter the password; the device then joins the network without requiring a USB cable or local IT assistance.

Which consumable will need replacing first on the Xerox B235 and how often?

The standard toner cartridge is the primary replaceable supply; its yield determines replacement frequency, while the drum unit typically lasts through several toner changes.

At what monthly page volume does the Xerox B235 reach its rated duty limit?

The manufacturer rates the maximum monthly duty cycle at 30000 pages; sustained printing near that level will stress the engine and shorten component life.
