Xerox B310/DNI Wireless Mono Laser Printer

The Xerox B310/DNI is a monochrome laser printer built for office, business and home-office printing. It produces black-and-white output at up to 42 pages per minute and includes automatic two-sided duplex printing. Connectivity options cover wireless, Ethernet, USB, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, Chromebook printing and Wi-Fi Direct. This is a print-only device with no scanning, copying or fax functions.

Sustained-load behaviour

The 250-sheet main tray and 100-sheet bypass tray supply paper for longer print runs without frequent reloading. First-page-out time is 7.5 seconds, after which the engine maintains its rated 42 ppm speed. Black print quality reaches 600 x 4800 dpi with 2400 image quality for sharp text and graphics. No colour printing capability is present.

Installation and common issues

Setup uses standard USB, Ethernet or wireless connections supported by Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and mobile platforms. Drivers are available from the manufacturer for each operating system. The unit ships without a touchscreen; configuration is handled via web interface or host software. Buyers who need colour output, scanning, copying or faxing must choose a different class of device.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the B310/DNI get when it runs continuously at 42 ppm?

The printer is rated at 42 pages per minute with a 7.5-second first-page-out time; Xerox does not publish acoustic or thermal figures for sustained full-speed operation.

What cables or network gear must I already have to use the Ethernet port on this printer?

Connect the built-in Ethernet jack to any router or switch with a standard network cable; the printer also offers USB, wireless, AirPrint, Mopria, Chromebook printing and Wi-Fi Direct if a wired link is not available.

Will the B310/DNI work with the USB-only printer server I still use for older equipment?

Yes — the printer provides a USB port alongside Ethernet and wireless, so it can attach directly to a USB print server or to a PC without a network connection.
